The concept of electronic book has been around for quite some time now but has, in contrast to early analyst’s predictions, failed to boom.

A major factor was the under-developed devices that were thick and heavy, had poor battery capacity and were not user-friendly. Many of the plausible technologies has since then evolved and the ideas concerning such a device has matured as well.

Our recently developed reader device, NUUT™, is based on a new and exciting technology and overcomes those early obstacles.

What is a E-book?

In short, a E-book is a book which has been converted to an electronic file, meaning that it can be read directly on your PC, handheld PDA or on a E-book reader device like NUUT. In most cases you buy or borrow the book through the internet. You download the book from the store or library´s website.

To be able to read E-books you need two tools besides the book:

· Hardware / Storage

· Software to read and manage downloading of E-books

The hardware can be a regular desktop/laptop computer or a dedicated E-book reader device such as NUUT. Other types of mobile devices may work as well, such as Palm PC or some mobile phones.

The software is usually free of charge and can be downloaded from internet.
